How To fit the CT CARBON MP style splitter to the BMW M3/M4 F80/F82/F83

What You’ll Need:

3x MP bolts, including washers and nuts.
4x Self-tapping screws
1 roll of high-quality, 3M super-strength moulding tape
A drill with 5mm AND 6.5mm drill bits
A spanner
A jack and axle stands or a set of car ramps.
Self-adhesive black vinyl (optional — recommended for light coloured cars)

Installation Guide

STEP 1: Raise the car

Raise the car up using the correct jacking points and secure it on axle stands, or drive it carefully onto a set of car ramps. This will give you easy access to the underside of the car.

Step 2: Remove the Under Trays

Using a socket wrench with Torx bits, remove the front left, right, and middle under-trays. Set them aside for later.

Step 3: Fit the Canards

If you’re fitting canards to a light-coloured car, apply a strip of self-adhesive black vinyl wrap film along the back edge where each canard will sit. This masks the gap between the canard and the bumper for a clean finish.
Now, apply double-sided tape along the edge of the canard, remove the red film and push the canard firmly into place. Ensure it is pushed back as far as possible and that there are minimal or no gaps.

Step 4: Refit the Under Trays

Once the canard is in place, use a 5mm drill bit to drill a hole through the canard where it sits over the OEM under-tray mounting hole.
Repeat on the other side.
Refit the undertray using the self-tapping screws.

Step 5: Fit the Splitter

You’ll need a second person to help with this part.

Line up the lower splitter.
Once aligned, use a 6.5mm drill bit to drill one hole in the middle of the bumper (through the splitter).

Insert the bolts through the bottom holes, then hold the nut with a spanner to tighten the bolts, ensuring the splitter sits flush.
Start with the outside bolts and finish with the centre bolt.

Step 5

Refit the under trays.
